Who we are
Solidarity and skills at the heart of our work.
NKOB Foundation works to support people facing vulnerability and strengthen future opportunities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Supporting people.
Strengthening independence.
The founding statutes define the main purpose as community recovery for vulnerable populations affected by social unrest in the DRC, particularly in North Kivu. The establishment declaration describes philanthropic and educational work focused on women and children.
Responding to the needs
of vulnerable communities.
The Foundation supports vocational training for young people and people who have not had the opportunity to follow a conventional school pathway. Its statutes also provide for education, support for vulnerable or out-of-school children, and women’s economic and social empowerment.
On the ground, NKOB has also assisted children and women from military families after the war in eastern DRC.
An organisation
serving its mission.
Under the statutes, the Foundation is led by its founder-president and co-led by a vice-president who chairs the board of administrators.
Actions guided by
community needs.
Training, support and solidarity are central to the Foundation’s work. It aims to offer a setting where people can develop practical skills and explore new possibilities.
The Transparency page will host statutes and reports that the Foundation has approved for publication.
Together, we can support
lasting opportunities.
